Publishing Word Documents with your
Internet Marketing Kit…
Step 1:
Create and Save Document
Create the document of
your choice (including fonts, colors, graphics or images)
and "save" the document (File / Save As).
Note: When
you save the document,
make sure to select the
File Type "Web Page"
(referred to as HTML
document in some versions of Word).

Suggestion:
Save each document in a
different folder
(Note: this is not a requirement, but a strong suggestion ;-)

TIP:
There is a “Create New Folder” icon on the Save As dialog window (usually in the
upper right) that will allow you to create a new folder in the destination of
your choice.
Note: If
you have graphics in your document a folder will be created for you (containing
the graphics).
The name of the folder
containing the graphics (for a file called YourDocumentName) is
YourDocumentName_files ….that
is an “_” (underscore)
Eliminate Headaches!!!!
Three things to remember that will save you headaches:
A) Do not use spaces in
the name of the document
…..(and remember the name you gave the
document).
B) Make sure to save the
document as Web Page.
C) Save the document into
its own folder!!!
…..(and remember the name
of the folder ;-)
Continuing on.....
Step 2:
Upload Files to the Internet
Go to your IMK admin area
and select the FTP tool.

NOTE: If
your document contains graphics,
you need to create a
Folder in your IMK with
the ‘exact same name’ of the folder,
with the name of file and
“_” (underscore) files.

Press “Create Folder” and
your new folder
will appear within your
IMK file directory
Click on the “Browse”
button and
find folder that you
created for your document
and open the folder
Click on

NOTE:
Your document folder
should have an HTML file and,
if your document has
graphics, then there should be
another folder with the
name of YourDocumentName _files.
Select the file HMTL file
and press “Open”
Upload the HTML File to
root directory
This is what the file
looks like in the root directory
If you do not have
graphics in your document,
then your work is done…
The URL will look like
this…
http://YourDomain.com/YourFileName.html
At this point you create a
link to the file
and it will appear on the
Internet.
If you have graphics, you
can still create the link
at this point, but when
you go to view the page,
the graphics will be
missing.
So now let’s upload graphics……
You can do this one file
at a time, or all at once.
NOTE: Regardless of the method you choose,
make sure you upload the
graphics to the folder
you created above.
To upload one file at a time,
use the same
method we did to upload
the html document above.
However, the IMK offers
you the ability select
and upload multiple files
at the same time
